Rock Gardens
The ‘Rock Gardens’ is the site of one of the first ever sport climbing areas in Jasper. It’s a great place for moderate grades in the 5.10 to 5.11 range. Rock Gardens is a 10 minute drive from the townsite of Jasper. From the trailhead at the 5th Bridge on the Maligne Lake Road the trail goes across a suspension bridge. It then winds uphill for 15 minutes and flattens out. It takes about 20 minutes to hike to the base of the cliff. This cliff is made up of limestone and provides some fantastic face climbing on a variety of holds from big to small.
